Bullet Says Managing Ebony Reigns Left Him in Debt
Ghanaian artiste manager and music executive Bullet has revealed that managing the late dancehall star Ebony Reigns left him heavily indebted.
According to him, the team invested significant resources into grooming the young artiste and building her career, but they were unable to recover those investments before her untimely death.
Speaking in an interview with radio presenter Nana Romeo, Bullet disclosed that the situation became so difficult that he nearly faced jail due to the debts he had accumulated while managing Ebony.
He explained that the arrival of Wendy Shay at his record label came at a critical time and helped him stabilize financially.
“It is painful that you’ll pick someone’s child from the street and groom the person to reach the height that they reached, and instead of appreciating our effort, they come attacking,” he said.
Bullet added that if Wendy Shay had not joined his label at that time, the financial pressure could have pushed him into serious legal trouble.
“If Wendy Shay hadn’t shown up at the period in which she did, I would have been in jail. People don’t know. Ask Kobby, ask Gardo how much I owe them,” he revealed.
