During the celebration of the 69th Independence Anniversary of Ghana, the Municipal Chief Executive for Tarkwa-Nsuaem Municipality, Ebenezer Cobbinah, reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to national development and improved service delivery.
Speaking at the anniversary parade held at the Tarkwa Cyanide Astroturf, Hon. Cobbinah stated that the Municipal Assembly fully aligns with the national vision of transforming communities through transparent governance, collaboration and effective implementation of government policies.
He emphasized that the Assembly continues to work closely with traditional authorities, civil society organisations, the media and development partners to translate government policies into tangible benefits for residents of the municipality.

Hon. Cobbinah also highlighted ongoing efforts to improve access to quality education across the municipality through the construction and rehabilitation of key school infrastructure.
According to him, a six-unit classroom block with ancillary facilities is currently under construction at Esuoso. In addition, a two-unit Kindergarten block is being built at Tetrem to help expand early childhood education in the area.

He further disclosed that the rehabilitation of a six-unit classroom block at Amo Quayson School has been completed and is awaiting official handover. Another completed project is a six-unit classroom block together with a six-seater toilet facility and a mechanized borehole at Borgrekrom, which is ready for commissioning.
The MCE noted that these projects are part of the Assembly’s broader commitment to strengthening the education sector, improving learning conditions for pupils and ensuring that communities within the municipality have access to modern and safe educational facilities.
