Former England striker Jermain Defoe has praised Antoine Semenyo following his impressive start to life at Manchester City.

The Ghana international, after netting on his debut against Exeter FC and scoring against Newcastle United in his first two games for the club, scored his first Premier League goal for the club against Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday at the Etihad Stadium.

Egyptian forward Omar Marmoush put the home side ahead in the 6th minute before Semenyo sealed the win in the 45th minute to seal a 2-0 win.

Reacting to the performance of the 26-year-old on Premier League Productions, the former Tottenham and Sunderland striker said, “We have seen him do that a lot of times, but to do that, it was special.

“He scores goals and assists as well. He is just unplayable. He is dynamic,” he added.

Semenyo, who joined Manchester City from AFC Bournemouth, has now scored three goals in four appearances since his arrival.

He will be aiming to continue his fine form when City host Galatasaray in the Champions League in midweek, before a Premier League trip to Tottenham Hotspur.
