As part of New Year celebrations, the Mr Tee Foundation, founded by Mr. Eric Tetteh Kwaw has extended a generous act of kindness to widows in Bompieso/Amoana, a town in the Prestea Huni Valley Municipality.

The donation exercise was aimed at celebrating and supporting women who, throughout the year, have lived without the presence and support of their husbands. Speaking during the event, Mr. Eric Tetteh Kwaw explained that the initiative was designed to put smiles on the faces of the widows and remind them that they were not forgotten.

“The New Year is a time of hope, and we want these women to know that even though they have lost their husbands, they are not alone,” Mr. Kwaw said. “This gesture is our way of standing with them and letting them feel loved and appreciated.”

According to the founder, the celebration was also an opportunity to encourage the widows to remain hopeful despite the challenges they face.

“Life may have dealt them a difficult hand, but there is always a reason to smile and keep moving forward,” he added. “As a foundation, we believe supporting widows is not just charity, but a responsibility.”

Items donated included bags of rice, cooking oil, mineral drinks, Wax Prints, and other essential supplies to help ease their daily needs.
The beneficiaries expressed heartfelt gratitude to the foundation, describing the gesture as timely and uplifting.

“This support has really touched our hearts,” one beneficiary said. “We did not expect this, and it has brought us great joy at the start of the year.”
Another widow noted that the donation went beyond material support.

“It is not only the items, but the fact that someone remembers us and cares,” she said. “We feel encouraged and strengthened.”
Mr. Kwaw emphasized that the outreach was not a one-time activity but part of the foundation’s long-term commitment to charity and community support.

“The Mr Tee Foundation will continue to support the vulnerable in our communities,” he stressed. “This is just one of many initiatives we plan to undertake.”

The event ended on a joyful note, with smiles and appreciation from the widows, as the foundation reaffirmed its dedication to supporting women and the less privileged, especially during significant moments such as the New Year.
