Media personality Sammy Flex has weighed in on the ongoing discussions surrounding the use of the Toyota Voxy, describing calls for a ban as “baseless” and misdirected.
According to him, the vehicle itself should not be blamed for road accidents, as it is merely a machine that operates based on the decisions of the driver. He emphasized that accidents are largely the result of human error, negligence, or lack of proper training rather than the type of vehicle being used.
Sammy Flex argued that instead of imposing restrictions or bans on the Voxy, authorities and stakeholders should focus on strengthening driver education and road safety awareness. He noted that proper training in vehicle handling, adherence to traffic regulations, and responsible driving behavior are more effective solutions in reducing accident rates.
He further stressed that the Voxy, like many multi-purpose vehicles, serves important roles in transportation, including commercial and family use. Therefore, targeting the vehicle without addressing the root causes of accidents may not yield the desired results.
In his view, improving driver competence, enforcing road laws, and promoting safety consciousness among motorists would have a far greater impact on road safety than banning specific vehicle models.
