The family of the late highlife legend Charles Kwadwo Fosuh, popularly known as Daddy Lumba, has moved to clarify public misrepresentations regarding the funeral arrangements and the status of his widow, Mrs. Akosua Serwah Fosuh.
The family has rejected a widely circulated funeral poster that listed Mrs. Akosua Serwah Fosuh alongside another individual as “widow.”
In a statement, the family said the poster was published without Mrs. Fosuh’s consent, misrepresents her status, and includes several family names “for cosmetic purposes,” urging the public to disregard it entirely.
The family strongly defended the legitimacy of Mrs. Fosuh’s German marriage certificate, condemning remarks by Mr. Kofi Owusu on an entertainment programme where he dismissed it as an “Ashtown document.”
The family described such claims as “pathetic, uninformed, and hostile,” and emphasized that the certificate remains a legally valid and internationally recognised document.
