Sadio Mané has expressed strong disappointment following claims surrounding the awarding of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations title to Morocco, raising serious concerns about integrity and fairness in African football.

In an official statement, the Senegalese forward did not hold back, describing the situation as deeply troubling for the sport across the continent. He stressed that recent developments go against the values football is meant to represent, both on and off the pitch.

According to him, the growing perception of corruption within the game is damaging the passion and trust of millions of fans. He noted that while players continue to give their all during matches, outcomes are increasingly being influenced by decisions made beyond the field of play.

Mané further emphasized that his disappointment extends beyond Senegal, stating that the issue affects the credibility of African football as a whole. He called for greater fairness, transparency, and respect, insisting that both players and supporters deserve a system they can trust.

The remarks have since sparked conversations among fans and stakeholders, with many echoing calls for reforms to protect the integrity of the sport across Africa.
