A total of 43 votes were cast in the closely watched contest between Hon. Joseph Morris Kwofie of Tarkwa Banso and Hon. Ebenezer Kwabena Yeboah of Dompim. Hon. Joseph Morris Kwofie secured 11 votes, while Hon. Ebenezer Kwabena Yeboah won a decisive majority with 32 votes.
